Every year Modica, the famous town of baroque and chocolate, celebrates its ancient traditional chocolate.

Chocomodica is the kermesse of the Modica chocolate since 2005.

The pucularity of the Modica chocolate is the producing process: the temperature of the metate surface kept around 42°-45° prevents sugar crystals to melt and gives chocolate a special rough consistency that is sapid and grainy to the taste. Furthermore, different spices and flavourings are added to enreach the taste and the experience of tasting.

The 14th edition of Chocomodica will be host from October the 31th to November the 3rd, 2019 in the baroque town of Modica.

A week-end enhanced with events to discover the centuries-old techniques of chocolatemaking that here go back even to the 1600 when the chocolate processing method was spread in Sicily by the Spanish “conquistadores”.

Food tasting with chocolate receipts in all the restaurants of the town, guided visits to the chocolate museum, demonstration in the chocolate shops such as "Bonajuto" and "Don Puglisi" and a lot of other events you can't miss during this greedy kermesse.
